Keep a Good Spirit!
In 2009, my husband Damianus had a stroke when he was 42 years old because of atrial fibrillation. He was paralyzed and lost both his memory and his speech. His doctor said that his brain was so damaged that he might only live for a year. But because of our love — mine and my two children — he lived four years and passed away in May 2013.
In October 2010, my daughter Agneta had a stroke when she was only 9 years old. Her stroke was caused by a PFO, which is a hole in her heart. To help her recover her motor skills, I practiced Balinese dancing with her, and it worked!
One thing I learned from my daughter is that a happy situation can help the patient recover. So for all the stroke survivors in the world, I say keep a good spirit, keep fighting and keep smiling. We pray for all of you. God bless us all.
